In short: We collect what we need to run stores, process payments and meet legal duties. Sellers' legal identities are never shown to buyers. We don't sell personal data.

What we collect

Account email, purchase history, payment details (held by our payment provider, not us), and for sellers, identity and payout information required by law.

How sellers see buyer data

Sellers see buyer name, email and country for orders from their store, for support and tax. Sellers can email product updates only to buyers who opted in.

Verification data

Identity documents are processed by our verification partner and stored encrypted. We keep them as long as the law requires after an account closes.

Your choices

Export your data or delete your account from settings. Receipts are retained for sellers' tax records as required.

International transfers

Hawka is operated from the United States. Data about sellers in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya is transferred under appropriate safeguards, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, Ghana's Data Protection Act and Kenya's Data Protection Act.
