Seller terms

Last updated October 1, 2026 · Draft for review by counsel
In short: You must live in or be registered in Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya, verify your identity, and only sell digital products you have the rights to. Hawka charges the fee for your plan, with processing and conversion included, shown before you publish.

Who can sell

Individuals and registered businesses whose legal country is Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya. US-based sellers are not supported. You must be 18 or older and pass identity verification before taking payments.

What you can sell

Digital products you created or are licensed to resell. You are responsible for the accuracy of your descriptions and for honoring the license and refund policy you set.

Fees

Starter is free: 3.5% plus a small fixed amount on local-currency sales, and 6% + 30¢ on dollar sales. Growth costs ₦9,900, GH₵99, KSh990 or $9 a month: 1.5% plus the fixed amount locally, and 4% + 30¢ on dollar sales. Fees include payment processing and conversion of dollar earnings to your currency, and are itemized on every order. Fee changes take effect with 30 days' notice and never change orders already placed.

Payouts

Earnings are held for 7 days after each sale, then paid weekly in your local currency to a verified account in your legal name. We may extend holds or reserve funds for refunds, disputes or suspected fraud, and will tell you why. Changing your payout account requires an email code and an SMS code, and pauses payouts for 48 hours.

Refunds and disputes

You review refund requests under your stated policy. Faulty or misdescribed files must be refunded. Chargebacks are deducted from your balance with the provider's dispute fee; we help you submit evidence.

Private products and Client Showroom

Private products are shared only with clients you invite. Client Showroom previews are watermarked, reduced copies; this deters casual copying but cannot prevent screenshots. Clients who have paid keep their files even if you revoke access or close a showroom.

Suspension

We may pause or close stores that break these terms or the prohibited products policy. Except in cases of fraud or legal requirement, we give notice and a chance to fix the issue.
